About the Role:

Mavatar seeks a Director of Operations to oversee and grow Mavatar’s corporation in our launch and expansion markets. The position is entrepreneurial and the candidate will have the opportunity to provide measurable impact in supporting Mavatar’s ground-breaking work. The Director of Operations will be a strategic and management partner to the CEO, will support the engineering and business development team, and will help manage day-to-day operations of the organization.



  • Responsible for supporting add-on and Mobile Product Lines
  • Support browsers and mobile customers in all aspects, including product, quality, and delivery
  • Build and manage quality, yield improvement programs
  • Provide support to engineering team abroad
  • Work collaboratively with retail companies, software providers, and Mavatar’s development team to ensure that the necessary technology interfaces are in place
  • Analyze and review performance with the customer services team, merchants and implement improvement action plans
  • Work with retailers to develop and implement the required process to ensure an efficient and rapid collection and delivery operation
  • Control operational costs including negotiating rates, reviewing operational charges customer service costs, and approving invoices
  • Maintain the operational databases ensuring the information stored truly reflects the current state of the retailer and affiliate network
  • Monitor and drive performance metrics, including the reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to ensure operational processes and procedures support business objectives
  • Work closely with all parts of the business to develop initiatives to improve KPIs
  • Work closely with the CEO with a view to helping improve group processes and ensure best in class initiatives are made available for the company

  • Analytical, at ease with performance reports, budgets and management by KPIs
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and prioritize multiple projects at the same time
  • Enough technical understanding to be able to talk the talk and be comfortable working in a technology-driven business



  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Operations Engineering or similar
  • 4+ years experience at management level in e-commerce industries
  • Sound and demonstrable process improvement knowledge including the use of statistical approaches
  • Budget control, forecasting, and capacity management
  • Experience with e-commerce and multi-channel retail solutions a strong plus
